I wanted to create a peaceful scene of a mother gorilla and her baby in their natural home. I really wanted to surround them with flowers, but I wanted it to be authentic to the wild.

After researching, I made an amazing discovery: orchids are epiphytes! They don't need soil and actually thrive high up in the rainforest treetops. Inspired by this, I drew a mossy tree branch and showered this sweet pair with a gorgeous, cascading abundance of vibrant, treetop-dwelling orchids.
